Anyway I wrote two motions today that are likely to measurably improve two people’s lives and I feel absolutely high with it. Then two Pileated woodpeckers and a red shouldered hawk blessed my balcony view. What a day. Go volunteer.

I was talking to my building manager about this and she mentioned they were in the middle of negotiating the rate lock for the building. So maybe everyone knew you could do this, but if you didn't, now you know. (I do not know if you can do it with Pepco, if they're your provider.)

My provider, CleanChoiceEnergy (who Pepco shuffled me off to even though Pepco handles usage; CCE handles rate) will let you lock in a rate for 12-24 mos. My rate, like everyone's, had slowly crept up in the last 2yrs, but I was able to lock in a much lower rate. Find out if you can do this!

I blew an absolute gasket at my bill last month and then a second time when I called Pepco to demand they explain why they think my *usage* - not my rate - doubled in a month and they brushed me off. (I keep my 1-bdrm at 77-80!!) However, I did learn something important that you should know! (1/2)
