Another BBC article on Air Con. Another opportunity to inform the BBC about what exactly they are reporting about (heat pumps that can heat and cool)! @timwaskett.bsky.social www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Was listening to a journalist based in Morocco this morning. They believed blaming 'traffickers' is a diplomatic stance because Spain doesn't want to accuse the Moroccan government. The far right across Europe have capitalised on the incident. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

I'm currently using 166W. TV, computer (+internet), two lights, fridge freezer, digital thermometer, smart meter display, clock radio. Only problem is that a wind turbine would be absolutely crap in an urban environment. And it wouldn't power my heating/cooking needs.
SlashGearA 500-Watt wind turbine can't generate enough energy to run a whole house. Instead, you can run indoor lighting or appliances like refrigerators.

BBQs are definitely not a British tradition. Picnics with cold food are.
The Conversation UKDisposable BBQs are a major, yet preventable, fire risk. Other picnics are a better bet.
It's an interesting building in Southampton, next to the train station. Didn't know much about it. I always wondered who lived there and how it was used. Some parts look communal. youtu.be/EyCYVlU2t3w?...

This sounds very suspicious. A deliberate organised act? This level of 'migration' is organised and should be picked up by national intelligence. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
Maybe @timwaskett.bsky.social can send in a 'complaint' to the BBC and explain air to air heat pumps to them and his experience with them.
Sustainable UsSo much bad information in this BBC report regarding air conditioning, i'm getting sick of it now. With the entrenched ignorance about heat pumps in this country it's looking really bad. Here's a link to the complaints page: www.bbc.co.uk/contact/comp... youtu.be/Voi6_BUc86c?...
IMO many people aren't understanding what Badenoch has said. From first principles and analysing what she understands of the science, then she is denying it, mainly because she hasn't confirmed carbon emissions role. As a result, all her policy statements make absolute sense in that context.
Sustainable UsA quick scan of Badenoch's opinion piece shows that her only carbon emission reduction policy is nuclear power. And i can't actually see where she connects carbon emissions to climate change. Climate change deniers can accept it's real, but deny it is carbon emissions that cause it.
