Barring a surprise trade, seems like Broome gets waived and stretched. Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s brought back on a two-way if he clears waivers. Otherwise, plenty of ways to fill that final two-way slot.

This team will need time, game reps, and chemistry building, but Gansey made smart additions with Anfernee Simons (who’s had good success with Jaylen Brown) and KCP (who’s had championship success with LeBron). In the short term, that should help ease some growing pains.

Think KCP’s best days are behind him but I don’t mind this as an end-of-bench addition. Low usage guy who can defend and hit shots.

Dean Wade, Dominick Barlow, Adem Bona, and Ariel Hukporti are a decent group to fill the ‘big frame who plays really hard’ role.

Mike Gansey signed LeBron and D. Wade in his first year as an executive. Wow.

In a way, the Sixers turned Paul George, two first round picks, and two second round picks into Jaylen Brown which indirectly also led to LeBron James on a minimum. Absolutely bonkers.

I totally get the eye test stuff, but Johni Broome just produces. 23 & 11 today, after a 19 & 13 game. He was a +18 across both games.

Labaron Philon looks nothing like a typical mid-to-late first round pick. 24 points, 3 rebounds, 6 assists, and a steal in his second game on better efficiency. Thought his offensive process (again) was good. Sixers got some serious options in their backcourt rotation, man.

The iceberg runs deep on this (IYKYK) but man is this another one of contracts that makes Anfernee Simons’ deal look like a great value
