Look, I don't care about this game. I think pre-ordering it on the platform with the worst refund policy is really dumb. But this isn't even worded like its a gameplay trailer, which there still isn't? I dunno, something just feels real off with all this.

Played some Mario Bros after work. Felt like I was 5 again. And by that, I mean I have no muscle memory for this game at all and immediately died to the 1-1 Goomba lol. I'm more patient now, so getting better and having fun. So that's nice.

OK, I've been putting off my NES backlog for ages. The console is a few years older than I am, and I never had one growing up. Experienced a small slice of the library, but didn't really finish anything. Can't remember if I ever beat a version of the OG Mario Bros? So gonna start there.

Moved some stuff around and dropped my NES Ducktales cart. Didn't shatter completely, but pretty substantial crack in the case. Annoyed, as it was actually a pain in the butt finding a working copy. I think it'll still run boot?

Been playing Freedom Planet 2, basically at the end of the first story campaign. Not really sure I want to keep going and play the other 3 characters? Quick search says they're different enough to look into, but not having the best of times? Feel like Howlongtobeat is way off on it.

They're like 20 years old, so kinda yeah? I've thought of them as retro for awhile tbh. I guess there's some interesting reasons as to why these don't feel that way for so many though. It was a pretty long generation compared to what came before, etc.

Started playing Robocop Rogue City and kinda loving it. I've never actually seen any of the movies (I've basically not seen a ton of movies/tv due to household rules/views growing up), so the themes of the story and setting are all new to me. And its pretty great lol.

C L I N I C A L L Y insane and wrong. Nice that you didn't get bullied for your taste, but I sure as shit was, and this is revisionist bullshit. Anime was something you hid because of the shit people would give you over it. 100% before Pokemon and for a good while after.

Still going to try and collect everything in MIO, but I stumbled into *another* life lose trigger, almost immediately after finally finding the 4th piece of a health upgrade. Haven't gotten that close to tilting in *years*, absolutely dog tier game design. Every time felt bad, but that was awful.

Rolled credits on MIO last night. Not a huge fan of the combat, but exploration was really great. Checked the map to see what I missed and its a *lot*. Map seems absolutely huge, I'll definitely keep going since I don't feel close to bored yet.

Oh wait, this actually looks good?

Waking up to the news today has improved my mood significantly, the memes actually legit help me shake off some depressive thoughts. I look forward, with bated breath, for the day it inevitably happens.
