My point is that he should have gone to the hospital as soon as the bats were discovered, not continued sleeping in the room. Also, the bats are supposed to be caught so they can be tested for rabies. The hotel should have called animal control when the bats were discovered.

Not to mention that standard procedure is if you wake up in a room with a bat, you’re supposed to assume you have been bitten and go to a hospital for treatment because the bites are so small as to nearly be untreatable.
