I was covering education at a previous job during the height of the MOOC boom and it was basically the AI mania in miniature: a management class absolutely frothing at the mouth at the promise that technology would allow them to fire all those pesky workers (teachers).

This is the way. Iowa used to actually feed the nation with 125 crops. Now it’s only corn and soybeans for livestock feed and ethanol production. Corn uses much more toxic fertilizer than other food crops as well. I very much agree with Chris Jones #RiverRacoon running for AG commissioner in Iowa.
