Like if the Democrats are going to be losing 60%+ of all elections anyways, might as well get policies you want on that ballot instead of the economic liberal extremists masquerading as moderates that are claimed to be more electable.

I think you're missing the broader point. That is a rejection that "electability" is a reason to vote for anyone in a primary. The overall progressive push is looking at all the loser dems we got cause "well you can't get what you actually want cause that's unelectable" and rejecting it.

Doesn't seem to be a problem of progressive or liberal, Democratic party of Kentucky is either stacked with losers, or the state's status as a tax haven for the old and racist has ensured its red status until all those retirees expire.

I don't think betting for a guy who lost by double digits to Rand Paul is a good idea, but if your preferred candidate couldn't leverage that into a victory I don't think she had much chance against any Republican.

When a liberal loses "oh I guess that was just an unwinnable race" When a progressive loses "see only liberals are electable"

Same way you get people to this day thinking the British Empire wasn't deeply evil in a directly comparable way to the USSR. The Bengal Famine and the Potato Famine framed as mistakes, same way Soviet propaganda framed the Holodomor. Viewpoints only really tenable to the beneficiaries of empire.

I feel like that's the easy point of dissonance because like all imperial systems there was an imperial core who benefited from the USSR. A certain sort of Russian guy really did prosper at the expense Ukrainians, Central Asians, and Siberians. So you an outside with limited sources it can look good

I appreciate at least how frictionless that made utilizing the roll20 macro builder. Like the character builder for 4e feels like it was intended to use that macro builder and then you just gotta click buttons on the vtt.

Wow there are more novels than I initially thought, 16 of them only 3 for 4e. Looking it up though it appears as though every single editions of Dark Sun has had terrible novels to accompany it. TSR and WotC agree, Dark Sun needs a bad metaplot.

They also had abyssal launch. Keep on the Shadowfell was bad, the flash cartoons they made to promote it were weird and mean-spirited, and nuking their own community website to make "Facebook for gamers" was beyond stupid. It's what drove me away, came back later after 5e came out.

The Assassination of D&D 4e by the coward Mike Mearls.

2e was the one with a terrible Dark Sun metaplot. 4e didn't have anything beyond the initial "one dragon king is down, here's a hit list for the rest." Unless there was continuation I'm missing from the source books I got.

Why would they do that while the primary beneficiaries to that status are the ones bombing them?

000

Yeah gotta keep up the run they've had with Pariah Nexus and Tithes.

Iraq and Libya were both before 2016.

For chess there is another reason though it is depressing. That being persistent bullying by men results in woman scoring worse at chess in person than online. Like obviously the actual solution here is to stop the harassment, but there is a reason.

The Dead by Daylight hard of hearing mode.

On the useless nature of scarecrows, I think a large part of it is that they're a bit of magical thinking that requires very little resource or time investment. Premodern clothing was destroyed fairly rapidly by farmwork so you always had worn out shirts. Basically just losing out on a dishrag

An attempt was made, not fully successfully but attempted, in Total War Troy
