My 4-yr-old is currently in tears because the Rankin & Bass adaptation of The Hobbit has elided his favorite guy, Beorn.

Someone (on here, I think) described this as an example of Philadelphia as "the vanguard of righteous haterism" and that phrase has not left my mind ever since.

any of y'all who teach with/about RPGs, do you have a good assignment sheet / syllabus for assigning students to form groups to play GM'ed, campaign games like D&D as homework?

Quick game design question for the #TTRPG players -- if you have to store map data from session to session, which is preferred: A: Mark up a paper map, print a new one if changes get to be too much. B: Use cubes, pawns, minis, etc., knowing you'll have to mark/photograph/remember their positions.
