Three days ago I was in an antique mall and one of the booths had its own radio playing some praise hymn I used to know at camp? I used to know actions to it anyway. Anyway the chorus has been stuck in my head for DAYS because I think my dumb brain is trying to remember the actions. Send help.

Okay, so. I am on a very short vacation. And every time we hang out in the hotel for a bit so that other folks can rest, I am spending my time... creating a giant spreadsheet tracking how many reviews every book I read over the last three years currently has on StoryGraph.

Without saying your age, what is your favorite movie from the year you turned 18 (pretty sure I have done this meme before, so I will pick a different movie this time.)

Am I just autistic, or would learning in the introduction that a new book trying to understand our slide into technofascist rule started out as a Substack series give you the ick for the whole project?

You know what I want even more than Summerween? Spooky Pride. A queer pride festival, but in October. We can all wear black & cozy sweaters & the furries can wear their whole getups without passing out of heat stroke.

Well, it's official. My tiny little press that my brain, my body, and the rest of my life keep getting in the way of, is getting ready to publish its sixth book, which MEANS: I have just purchased my second bundle of ISBNs from Bowker.

Help, I somehow got sucked into a rabbit hole of reporting AI generated nonsense on Etsy. I went in looking for 3D beaded patterns and VERY quickly started running into slop. Of clearly AI generated images for project kits showing finished products that CANNOT BE MADE.

In related news, I have started planning my #WomenInTranslatonMonth TBR, and while my pile is already way too large, I am still looking for more translated poetry, graphic novels, and genre fiction. Have any recommendations?

I have once again played myself. I returned overdue items to the library and told myself I could go pick two or three books and came home with 16.

Me having a 2:30 freakout over whether the ash leaf icon I plan to use as a section break image depicts the right species of Ash (as one might typically find in England/Europe) even though the book takes place in a fictional fae-adjacent setting and no particular species of Ash is identified. 👀
