The mitten project is finished! Here are the 2 pairs I made with the same pattern, 1 trigger mitts, 1 normal! I made them for some dear friends we met in #Nfld who were moving far away for an amazing job. Had to send some Atlantic Canada down south with them ❤️

Exciting news! My new book 'Graveyards of Eastern Newfoundland' is now available for preorder! It isn't on the publisher's site yet, but some large spots like Amazon has posted already, so check it out!! I'll link to Boulder Books when they get the listing up! 🏺🎉 www.amazon.ca/dp/199822041...
www.amazon.caNot the property I'm looking at, but I found another tree landmark! This one says 'Beginning at a beach tree at the southern angle...' so helpful for everyone I'm sure 😂 #archives #research 🏺
Dr. Robyn S. Lacy ⚰️In case you were following the Tree as Landmark adventure this week, here is the actual text! A few colleagues said they'd never encountered such a useless direction in a deed before 😂🫠
In grade 3 I read Dracula. Did I pass the reading quiz about it? No, I was in grade 3 & didn't understand a lot if it. But I read the book & remember most of it! Kids can definitely read the hobbit! (Also read it around 9 or 10!)
Dr Surekha Davies, Historical Monster Consultant (she/her)I read The Hobbit aged nine or ten (as did, no doubt, half the good folks on Bluesky). It's time to normalize functional literacy again.
