Interestingly, some of this is not new to everyone. Cost transparency, getting rid/slimming down programs that aren't high need/high paying, focusing on 'workforce', keeping cost 'low' and others...the difference is schools could also roll back initiatives if it wasn't working.

The degrees of those working at many colleges wouldn't cut it, from the classroom to services...but that's the point isn't it.

They should be required to build/fund desalination plants and provide their own water sources from rising sea levels (without tax breaks and/or govt breaks).

You're not getting old. It's actually louder...everywhere. I have started asking folks who work at various places as I have noticed significant volume increase, or even the adding of music. To do this in already louder environments is mind boggling.
