Very sad to hear Bill Oddie has died. Great birder, author and entertainer. Loved his books- written by a birder, for birders. :(

Great day at RSPB Blacktoft Sands, with #SK58Birders. Loads of showy Juv. Bearded Tits plus a nice selection of waders.

Back in a marquee today, this time for SK58 Birders #sk58birders

Great day at the Global Birdfair- managed to not crucify the credit card. On the warm side, hot outside, and absolutely baking and humid in the marquees. But a good day nonetheless. And not every day you see a giant iguana and giant pink flamingo 🦩 together! No I hadn’t been drinking!

Cracking day for the #SK58Birders trip to Frampton Marsh. Nowt rare, but good selection of birds. The ice creams weren’t bad either ;)

Out carrying out x2 Tetrad Surveys first thing this morning. Where are all the Swifts and House Martins? In x 2 hour counts in farmland, recorded just 2 Swifts and 2 House Martins :(

Good morning out in #SK58. Added a few to the SK58 year list. First Sedge & Garden Warbler, plus 2 Corn Bunting- my first locally for several years. Ripped off at McDonald’s drive through- was handed someone’s meagre meal instead of my big tasty- big disappointment lol

Great first day in Cyprus. Desert Finch, Finsch’s Wheatear, Eastern Orphean Warbler, Blue Rock Thrush and weather better than forecast

Looking forward to a birdy weekend. Out in SK58 tomorrow and taking a group out around SK58 on Sunday

Good post work stroll. First Little Ringed Plover of the year plus a trio of owls on the way home.

Great morning out. Added to the yearlist. Snow on the distant hills. Found a dumped motorbike.
