The best part was trying to convince you I was out of peas every single time.

I can confirm that Gob is a trained pro in the art of "date goof" performance. On one of our first dates, we had Chinese and, throughout dinner, he was secretly filling his cheeks with peas from our fried rice. After dinner, he would periodically drop peas into my hand straight from his mouth.

And this concludes my "how to talk to chicks" class.

...She failed to notice the Home Depot bucket filled with Tabasco resting by your ankle underneath the table. That's when you give her a wink and unleash that puppy all over your face. Then say, "Check please!" That gives you an excuse to take a shower. And she might wanna GET IN THE SHOWER TOO.

You be playful. Chicks love funny, fun dudes. You take the Tabasco bottle and literally say, "Wouldn’t it be funny if I--" then you pretend to shake some out into your eye. Naturally, she'll reach out and be like, "Don’t!" Then you go, "Ah, just kiddin' tee hee..." However...

If you have enough charisma, you can dump gallons of hot sauce in your face and she'll think you're a risk taker renegade hero. And maybe she'll think your collection of anime on physical media is cool too. Stay tuned for the next reply to see how *I* would have done it...

This was a clear case of misreading the situation on the guy's part. Speaking for all straight men, it is funny and cool to show chicks how you're not afraid to dump Tabasco in your eye. The key is in the approach. This lady was clearly not ready and ended up thinking, "Wow what a dumb idiot."

So to answer your question, it's a fun little thing for the reader to find.

Sometimes I do spontaneous dialogue revisions. In this case, Josef preferred his original line for this panel. But for this instance, because it was a dream (and because I already sketched Pasq gesturing towards the cat with the mug), I suggested a trippy version where my rewrite is barely visible.
