I am so averse to even normal politician-speak cadence that I can count on my hands the number of politicians whose voices I would recognize. Even by text-based social media site standards, I am extremely text-based for politician remarks. (E.g. I have no idea what either Vance or AOC sound like.)

I follow plenty of people who disagree with each other/me, but there are subjects where being wrong is so totally discrediting of one's judgment that I don't care what they have to say about any other topic either (e.g. being anti-Ukraine, NIMBYism, etc.).

I think this is a cities v. suburbs thing to some extent. The only things that are locked up at the stores where I live (suburban area) are the high-value items that were already locked up long before any recent panic.
