Congrats to @clarede-ath.bsky.social and @sujeetkumar.bsky.social (Ruiz lab) on their joint paper. We reveal that YdbL modulates the YdbH-YnbE periplasmic spanning bridge, implicated in lipid transport to the outer membrane. Jeff was such an amazing mentor to me (and many others) during my PhD, even though I wasn’t in his group. I wouldn’t be where I am today without him. He will indeed be missed.
