Niiiice. People have no clue what is and how many “normies” there are. They are just about every retired military officer of boomer age. Probably the most reliable voting block, but insufferably intolerant of this kind of crap. Most are Reagan Publicans, never Trumpers, and wary of Libs. Keep it up.

More opponents like this and Vance will get two terms as president

I think it’s a remarkably stupid thing for a political candidate to say. This is not the first time people have pointed out Vance’s hypocrisy on this issue, but to pull his children into it and say that you somehow know what’s in Vance’s mind about his own kids is over the line.

Since some people seem to be confused about this: the dogwhistle is saying that AIPAC bought the election she lost. They did not, and in fact they also opposed her opponent. So how am I supposed to interpret this unless we take “AIPAC” to be a synecdoche for something else.

part of this is intrinsic to moderation as a political philosophy - "we can come to a compromise here" is, by definition, more of a "don't fight" thing - but it's quite possible to hold more centrist political positions while being genuinely outraged at the corruption and horror going on right now
