It’s incredibly disappointing to know the Monster Raving Loony party leader is mates with Farage but then again they’re all loonies really. Nice to see some interviews with F’s supporters in Clacton saying they are disillusioned with him since he took office.

Today in an non-air conditioned classroom.

Currently getting paid to sit at the back of a classroom to do my own thing. Applied for three jobs, submitted a short story, started work on an essay on gender and eugenics in Adrian Tchaikovsky’s final architecture series, and emailed some more universities about the BSFA.

Final score. Not bad for a first tournament. Some good games, hope I learn from the mistakes. Everyone was great and really friendly. Only heard one person be salty. Also the amount of people using PlayOnTablop quotes during the game was…chef kiss. #splitfiretovictory #MISSile

Round 2 Against chaos knights. Victory with 93-78. played the points and kept holding the knights up. Then Bjorn got stuck in. Once again the land raider crusader is a menace in overwatch.

First rounds loss on points. Logan Grimnar duelling the Swarmlord and dispatching it with haste, terminator captain duelling a tyrannofex to a stalemate, and the land raider crusader being an overwatch menace. On the plus side, the guy was really nice to play against and really friendly

Really nervous today about my first ever 40K tournament. Social anxiety mixed with the ever present feeling of not being good at anything.

This cuteness detracts somewhat from being woken up every ten minutes starting at 5am by this little ball of mischief chasing his much much older sibling round the house.

Two things. Firstly the most vivid university feedback I ever received were the words “working class people don’t speak like that.” Sorry I didn’t use any rhyming slang or glottal stops… Secondly there’s a Ken Loach quote where he calls the working class the most eloquent people he’s ever met.
