Yeah. It is patchwork without a real focus. They could get enough data while the mode stays there but I guess FOMO and engagement is more important all the while the numbers drop lower and lower...

Yeah sadly. I am used to Bungie being slow and pro hardcore in Destiny 2 and Marathon starts to have the exact same issues. It is a real shame bc both games would be a sweet combi, but sadly Sony killed D2 and now Bungie will kill Marathon... (but it is also my own fault not being social with fills)

Upgrading the kit takes a while when you only get 5 to 15 tokens in a failed run. Sure I could just die over and over for a few hours and get the shield upgrade but is this fun? And with the fact that the mode is just for 2 weeks I rather spend my time elsewhere.

I gave Vault Breaker in Marathon a fair amount of time but as a solo player I am not able to make any progress. The sheer numbers of blue and purple shield robots are wrecking me. I do not mind challening games but having a poor starting kit that let you die in 3 hits is not fun. It is a shame.
