There was a -delightful- fellow in a creative writing college class who told me that the character who gave a suicidal child a seed to plant and nurture so she could grow up with it and find out what it became, should be the one who burned that tree down later in the story as an act of "tough love".

Yeah that was WAY MORE EXCITING than I wanted that drive to be Sky Gods are going hungry tonight.

This is just to say, I'm driving home in the middle of a thunderstorm, on boom holiday, juuuust after sundown. If you don't hear from me again, sky gods probably ate me.

And the fire department, and wildfire crews. Hogod. Thank you for your service on this holiday where a bunch of people get drunk and handle explosives carelessly.

Reposting this because I went on the 27th, and I had a fantastic time. And, yeah. I felt safer as a queer person. The Loring Park Pride was fine, lots of artists worth supporting and fun to be had -- but this was where I felt like I was -at Pride-. I KNEW people here. I ran into friends, here.
