I ditched eggs long before things like Just Egg and YoEgg and went straight to many variations on tofu scrambles, which I love. But these look like a great way to mix things up a bit. Thanks for the tip!

ALL sales of animals for profit should be illegal. Period. Yes, that goes for companies that breed animals for laboratory testing and animal agriculture, too!

If only humans would actually learn lessons from nature, or at least stay out of nature’s way and stop destroying it!

I haven’t gotten around to trying YoEgg yet…the temptation just increased. 😋

Unfortunately humans divorced themselves from nature long ago, and those arguing that it’s in their nature to eat animal products are simply trying to justify their behavior rather than truly examining that behavior critically.

Sadly, the people that go on a plant-based diet for reasons other than the animals but call themselves vegan (they’re not vegan…veganism is not a diet) have never learned it. Once people truly know the whole truth they #GoVegan and never look back.

I suspect some would have made similar arguments against the abolition of slavery, against women’s rights, civil rights, etc. There is still human slavery in the world, as well as subjugation of women, racial discrimination, etc. but those things are widely recognized as wrong.

I think in modern society we have no need to eat insects. I don’t believe that might makes right in any form. If we don’t need to intentionally kill other animals to survive there’s no justification for it.

Humans also claim to be the most intelligent, but that judgment is based on human standards. All forms of life have their own brand of intelligence that suits them in the natural world. Humans separated from nature and are so short-sighted that they’re rapidly destroying it. That’s not intelligent.

Humans aren’t nearly as important as they make themselves out to be. If all ants or all bees were to suddenly vanish entire ecosystems would collapse. If all humans were to vanish nature would recover from human-caused damage and thrive. Look at Chernobyl.

Humans have always erroneously assumed they’re somehow more important than everything else. First they assumed the Earth was the center of the universe, then it was the solar system.

We have moral agency. We outlaw murder and other violence against other humans. The problem lies with anthropocentrism. Humans have historically viewed themselves as the center of everything when the fact is humans are just one species inhabiting the planet, and the only one destroying it.

In the modern world eating animals is unnecessary cruelty and not a matter of survival. With so many available options there’s no moral difference between someone eating animals because they enjoy the taste and someone randomly kicking stray dogs because they enjoy it. Both are unnecessary and cruel

I truly hope the conversation may have sparked your curiosity to the point where you’ll research it more thoroughly. I wasn’t born into even a vegetarian family but I was raised to have compassion and think critically and independently. Watch Earthlings and/or Dominion and see what they try to hide.

Our ancestors regularly raped and murdered, too, but we don’t excuse rapists and murderers by saying our ancestors used to do it.

Not all animals dismember each other. We share 98% of our DNA with gorillas, and aside from the occasional insects they eat a plant-based diet. We’re not lions.
