I love this movie, but it is "as deep as a tortilla," as the great James Ellroy says. You couldn't hope for better acting though: James Cromwell is spectacular as Dudley Smith, & Kevin Spacey is perfect as the smarmy Jack Vincennes (shocker). Relative unknowns, Guy Pearce & Russell Crowe are great.
