I remember noticing that anyone who I liked even a little bit in high school and who had been a self-identified conservative then had switched over to considering themselves a liberal within the first half of freshman year of college.

Reminds me of a case in the police blotter of my hometown’s newspaper- someone had called the police because strange men had brought an enormous truck to their neighbor’s house and were loading everything into it. It turned out the neighbor was moving.
