A man laden with plastic flowers and velour cushions is getting an absolute soaking outside. The velour cushions are rapidly changing colour as he crosses the road.

Yeah our chapel didn't even have stained glass just white walls , plus at home we only had the odd unadorned cross and a Dali crucifixion print .

We went to Lourdes with the scouts on the way to walk in the mountains . It's a very odd place , being a Methodist all the Catholic tat shops were quite an eye opener . The grotto looking like Mother Shipton's cave .

Fair enough . I like the body horror of circe section . I do think seeing all these things rather than hearing or reading about them does affect how you adapt a work . If you show a real breathing goat herd being blinded it's hard to depict the guy who did it as a jokey trickster.
