i think llms would also be ~worthless to me if i couldn't already code, every value i get from them is predicated not only on being able to parse code mentally, but, like, on being kinda good at it. knowing how dogshit this particular dogshit is or is not, at a glance

i think rust is actually the thing that reads as executable pseudocode to me now, especially if you write ruby in rust (i.e. enumerators fucking everywhere) go down this list, do this for things of this type, and that for things of that type. throw errors back to me.

i say "i have infinity code to write" but it's more like, when i am sitting at the terminal, there are several buckets from which i can pull tasks, and some of them are always infinite, and some of them are infinite temporarily, and some of them are irrelevantly finite

i have ~infinity code to write, of which an integer-percentage is interesting for a human to write, imnsho. i can hand write interesting bits and also generate massive piles of rapidly mutating glue code, which keeps me in the interesting part (design) and out of the bland part (syntax memorization)

yeah this problem isn't real and it would be good if wired didn't pretend it's real probably if a person can be framed for a computer crime (established) and held responsible for an accidental computer crime (established) then the relevant ambiguity is only whomst, and it's minimal (prompter)

some of this is honestly explicitly virtuous, engineering-wise, in that i'm much, much more likely to live at a wider local minima for longer before specializing if i don't have to look at it. like during early experimental phases, my work is _better_ for me looking at it less

"having to" i think maps to a misunderstanding. i don't hand off stuff i don't know how to do, i hand off stuff that i don't feel like doing because i can make a computer do it at 10x speed, meaning i can try more approaches for ~the same design effort

it's probably not great in history, generally; filling the right context window is too hard, the lower bar for 'useful output' is too high, the testing loop is too long. lots of stuff shaped like this really, but history is my go-to because even the most bought it won't usually fight

And nobody using AI ever has enough awareness to answer that it might not be a good tool for person A or task X (or right now, or at all). You don't see that with a lot of other tools, tech or tactile.
