Fair 2 say I was met w a crisp & almost bleak #allotment this morning so before heart sank too deep I picked up the buckets for the 8 rounds of 24kg .. 12kg at end of each arm .. of water carrying + 2 more for the nettle patch. Saw this; tightly packed chickens & other animals in farms back in 1991 & 92, when part of my degree course at an agricultural college incl many visits to several types of farming, since when I became a supporter of organic farming. It's deeply troubling that we have learnt so little in 30+ years.

Once again today .. & for 2nd year running .. I felt like a proud surrogate mum .. while observing & photographing a female #CommonBlue laying one single egg on one of many tiny leaflets & then she moved to another & laid another. After a while she rests .. #butterflies at the #allotment 💙🦋 1/2

and the Blues keep flying #CommonBlue some tired #butterflies along the #DykeapproachPath today that made me want to hug them .. ever so gently.
