Me & @judesherry.bsky.social couldn't believe levels of vacancy & dereliction in Sligo Town when we visited last year This row was one of many seriously decaying There were also many homes left vacant, ready to occupy In a housing emergency it really is not a good look for the hoarders #speirghorm

We seem to be doing everything to please the market (from tax breaks to changing rules) but yet fail miserably in taxing vacant homes & bringing empty homes back into use And affordable housing has lost all meaning in Ireland Affordable for who? Worrying times for those struggling to find a home
