Just to follow this up, I should clarify that for OUR specific mission - expanding the world's understanding of video game history - a museum model is inefficient. What our mission doesn't cover is lots of museum-y things like playable games and behind-glass artifacts, we leave that to others.

Yeah I deleted a couple follow ups before I posted but what I mean (which you interpreted correctly!) is that for our specific mission - bettering the world's understanding of video game history - a physical museum doesn't make sense, but they do make sense for other missions

I'm really proud of how we approach cultural history: we curate, collect, interpret and provide access to it for free online. People ask if we'll open a museum and it's like...why? Museums are wonderful and I love them but we have 100x the impact of a museum at less than 5% of the cost.
