Unfortunately, yes.

Idk what a sester is but I think it's what happens when you've committed to writing 19 things in 4 months.

No one in charge of my tenure case understands that I couldn't write in September because I was hand crafting my son's Halloween costume so that he could be The Ram from 99 nights in the forest.

This is why I don't trust coworkers that aren't primary carers for children because like... I have to do my job and feed and clothe other humans and keep our house sanitary and maintained AND FIND MALE FIST SIZED ROCKS.

No but for real.

The rock will need to be washed and free of any dirt, debris, etc. Your child’s rock can be any color or shape and should have their name on it. The student's name can be taped on the rock or they can wrap their rock in paper with their name on the paper and then secure it with a rubber band.

Holy shit.

For example, in that field you could just say ):< and I'd know you were a person and that the question is rude.

The course is 6 sessions, with two times each to help out with timezones and chronotypes. The "assignments" are Reflections and can't be done wrong. Nothing bad happens to you if you decide you don't wanna do it anymore. Asynchronous participation is supported.

Thanks for these questions. That part of the form is just a bot screener and I already have unemployed or ambiguously employed folks. As well as folks that are "robiticsish".

And beyond their techie splash page they are explicit that it is for disabled people and they worked directly with people who benefit most from this design. But I agree that just looking at the splash page without thinking about what you do without mobile hands would trigger a laugh.

It's pretty expensive but it's actually super close to a custom mouth guard to prevent night time teeth grinding so like... fair. I really hope people are able to access this through insurance or work/school accommodations because ... the way this could blow eye-tracking out of the water...

We hope this will be a place for researchers of all levels interested in applied humanities, anti-racism, anti-colonialism, pro-queer, indigenous, and disability justice methods in HCI. We support researchers who feel isolated at their home institutions. I hope to see you there!

The study was really not done very well but also it accomplishes nothing. The problem is not how we classify certain traits. The problem is that we hate disability and difference.

I think I let all that struggle convince me that the critical issues in autism (and all disability) research ethics are subtle. Jesus Christ, they are not.

It took 4 journals to get I, Misfit to even be reviewed. Both Counterventions and Cyborg Assemblages were borderline at CHI, and had to have a third AC (kind of like a third editor for those outside the ACMs absurdly brutal review system). Both had been rejected several times before.
