I'm sincerely glad that some other folks got some joy from our reunion. It's actually been pretty touching to get the responses as I've texted friends and updated social media.

Incredibly, on both counts.

He had been hiding behind my stacked washer and dryer against the wall. He's never been awake for an hour and not talked at me, so nearly 24 hours of it made certain he was gone. He's still kind of freaked out by something. Probably just all the chaos and change.

I can usually call out to him and he'll answer me. He was silent for nearly 24, including not tearing through the apartment at dawn.

It really was.
