Some really good entries for #manifestojam2026 on itch. We internalise so much in trying to be part of the games industry, many of us could use these reminders. ('Most advice about making games is actually about selling games' is rattling around my skull this morning) itch.io/jam/manifest...
Today's #PitchYaGame - This is Elemental Flow, a Solarpunk conversation-centric RPG set in Buenos Aires-inspired Jacarandá. Check out the demo on Steam! store.steampowered.com/app/4004580/...
I'm giving a lightning talk at Narrascope this year! 🧉Che, is this English? Implying one language in another🧉 A quick tour of things I learned making a game set in Solarpunk Buenos Aires, but writing it in English - from words and grammar to friction and culture. narrascope.org
The Interactive Fiction meetup has a great free talk March 19th in London by @hanakogames.bsky.social (Long Live the Queen, Galaxy Princess Zorana, Black Closet, Magical Diary, etc etc!) Come learn more about what goes into these games' exceptional narrative design and puzzle structures 📚🧩

"Settlement will no longer be granted automatically after a fixed period. Instead, migrants will need to earn it by demonstrating sustained good conduct, contribution and integration." If you have anything to say about this, you've got until 11:59pm today.

I joined my union for lots of reasons: practical individual help (contracts, disputes, etc), networking and craft-related events, best practise and guideline docs, the guild's work with companies/the government... Every year I put more into the WGGB, so you can get more out of it! #HeartUnions

I love hearing about the tools people use to plan out complex story structures! (I keep going back to Twine for testing purposes, but I'd love to have a go-to for visual mapping)
Antony JohnstonJason @snell.zone at Six Colors very kindly asked me to explain how I plan and write an interactive novel like Can You Solve the Murder?. It's not easy! 😅 But helped by using good digital tools, as I explain: sixcolors.com/post/2026/01...
Last year I wrote a choose your own adventure game running through Red Bull's gaming magazine, Gamepop, as well as an article on interactive fiction. It was really fun to work on, and it's wonderful to see it in print! Blog post here: teawithflo.com/2026/02/05/r...
Uploaded my #GlobalGameJam entry a little early, just in case - if you have 10mins, try out Fur, Bone, Wood, Skin (an IF about the masks we wear and how it affects our relationships) #GGJ26 Good luck to all the jammers still jamming! fminuzzi.itch.io/fur-bone-woo...
All of Andrew's videos are a great watch - they have helped shape my thinking, and so much of Elemental Flow. This latest video is another important one, reminding us of the power (gained and lost) of unions, and how much more there is to do.
Andrew Sage (Andrewism)Once, unions shook nations and promised a better future. But today, their once booming voice has felt more like a whisper. Their mass mobilisation retreated into bureaucracy. Their gains rolled back by the most powerful ruling class in history. Still, are unions our best hope? youtu.be/RqtzjoY36W8
Just signed this as a game dev - whether you make, play or share games, I would encourage you to look at the No Games for Genocide website and see what you might be willing to do to help the pledge.

Game jams can be a great opportunity for writers to work with a team, creating characters and stories for game types you wouldn't necessarily make on your own. If you're in London next weekend, there are still some tickets left!
Game Dev LocalQuick heads-up In-person spaces at Goldsmiths are limited and already selling fast. If you want to jam IRL, collaborate face-to-face, and soak up the energy of the UK’s biggest GGJ site, don’t wait. Online tickets remain open, but IRL fills every year! 📍 Goldsmiths, London 🔗 buff.ly/O74mey9

A little late to the party* here, but I just finished Cabernet and it was wonderful! If you're a fan of narrative games, this is one to check out. I love choice-based games where I can make informed decisions but still be pleasantly surprised =) *Introverts make the best parties
