I think my grandmother would still have been in a secretarial job then - before she effectively got to run her husband's business. He did the manual work, she did accounts, appointments, HR (they had employees) and all the commercial stuff. The one part I don't like is they never took holidays.

I don't know what the little gulls were up to last night but seeing a lot of them today - either just chilling and/or napping, or crying for food whenever an adult is around!

Little gulls are doing great. Proper little fliers now and I can't really tell how far and how long they can fly for. But they'll stick around for a while, they still depend on their parents a lot for food! They now rule over a huge roof area! Here's one of them with its grown-ups.
