we do, although I think the fundamental issue is the same as for all cinema—increasing reliance on established IPs with diminishing returns. in fact probably more so for family movies, since it’s easy to lure kids with a beloved franchise.

the veneer of Infantino’s case—that money should flow in greater proportion (pro rata) to less developed footballing countries—is also basically correct imo. the issue is that is totally open to abuse on the current model, and repeatedly has been abused.

yes. it’s funny because on the current formulation of international football governance, the small federations hold the power and can vote en bloc. but of course where the real power lies is in the games that drive audiences. and that is Europe and LatAm.
