Its crazy how within like a month of going on work break I've lost all interest in doing conventions in the future. Slowing down made me take the time to realize i don't need to do cons, i never enjoyed them, i don't like following trendy things and pumping out whats "fashionable"

Its just so clear to me that these two white dudes came up with Avatar's story without ANY BASIS of it in its Chinese setting, then thought to themselves, hey how can we make this stand out from other cartoons, oh i know, we'll use orientalism. Like how am I the only one who sees this.

i woke up angry about avatar because i did some more research last night into the avatar movie debacle. This whole "lets try to pretend it was never a story about Chinese ppl based in China because China bad and icky and we are all sinophobes" is making me so 🙃
