While we're on the subject, Trump's re-election--proving beyond doubt that the 2016 result wasn't a weird fluke, that we really are surrounded by deeply delusional, bloodthirsty people and that our information environment is irreparably broken--was the second fist in this one-two punch.

Does anyone have experience adding subtitles to an MP4 video? Is that something that can be done with software now or does it need to be done professionally?

Can someone explain to me why we don't talk about generative engine optimization more? Is it not terrifyingly obvious that once AI has become normalized as the everything answer bot, our entire information environment is going to become a battlefield for stuff like this?

Just incredibly sad that when I receive a (kind, sincere, legit) note praising one of my books now I spend the first few minutes mentally hazing it to make sure it's not AI. The corrosion of trust created by the mudslide of AI slop inundating our lives is appalling. And getting worse by the day.
