So, Another possibility is that Marathon will end up being a failure, Sony will get angry and shut them down. Another possibility is that Bungie might have to return to Destiny because there are more players. They've gotten themselves into a mess that's hard to get out of.

Marathon is currently not matching Destiny 2 in players and activity; it's far behind. And D2 was already below D1, even to this day. So, yeah, It's not a very good sign. The last thing I would expect would be Bungie shutting down the servers for both games. But i think they will do...
