Excel options, Word settings, Power Query teaching callouts, even the formula bar row height, all synced across devices without touching a single settings dialog. The initial build took me about 2 days, and the group discussed whether it should become a Monkey Tools feature or ship as its own tool.

Microsoft doesn't sync Office settings the way code editors sync preferences. 🔄 So I built my own Excel add-in using VB.NET! "Office Sync" reads all your #MicrosoftOffice registry settings, stores them in a tiny JSON database on any cloud sync folder, and automatically restores them on each machine.

An AKA participant asked about something I'd teased at the end of a previous session – so I delivered a full live demo. 🛠️ The problem: when you use 5 different computers, you spend a surprising amount of time dismissing the same #PowerQuery popups and re-configuring the same #Excel options. 🧵

Power BI is just one piece inside a much larger platform. 🧩 For our client a PBI Premium Per User license provided everything they required. My rule of thumb is to match the tool to the actual need.👍 For many small business reporting needs, you can start with Power BI and scale up later when needed.
