cel animation is limited to some minor shots in the opening, to my knowledge. but yes it is stunningly beautiful and extremely promising so far and you should definitely watch it

they were challenging that assumption in order to solve the mystery, not affirming it. The episode is even called don't make assumptions or some such. it threw me for a loop too because I was half paying attention but the very next line clears the message
