Winky the Pirate Girl is home after a rough time fighting the veterinarian and his assistants over taking her medicine for what turned out to be hay fever and a slight "actual" fever. She's getting two pills and an eye shmear of some glop to help her eyelid. Her eye itself is fine, so, big whew.

Okay, off to take Winky to the vet. Good morning/good night.

Stayed up so I can take Winky the Pirate Cat to the vet in two hours. In case anyone wonders why I'm p[osting horror movie stills in the early a.m. Possible eye infection, and since she only has the one, better safe than sorry.

Despite the temperature in the hall hitting 90 degrees I had an absolutely fantastic time today at the Nomad Comic Book Show in AZ (115 degrees outside, unacceptable). Thx to everyone who came out, I loved meeting you and talking to you all. I am grateful for the show of support. I hope you had fun.

Still bugs me that they have non-comics people present Eisners. Celebrating the medium while also presenting it as lesser. Look, actors! Poor comics, still nerdy, still needy. On a non-grouchy note, congrats to all the winners, especially the ones I voted for. Some nice HoF inductees, to boot.
