I wrote to Baker, telling him that Biden would be remembered as an effective President as well as a thoroughly decent man who had given his whole life in service to his country, whereas Baker's gratuitous screed would be forgotten by day's end.

Unfortunately, what we learned was that some people get off on this behavior, and take jobs that mostly allow it. The odds of there being consequences for such people are—sadly—skewed in their favor.

I'm glad to know that. It wasn't clear. I think I spend too much time reading all the Karens on fb, explaining away every horrid act by ICE, Klan-wannabes, etc., offering their stellar interpretation of the rules, regs, statistics, etc. I should have known I wouldn't find that here. Mea culpa.

Well then...you see no reason to investigate this? Drop a stat and any concern is washed away.

After Biden's bad debate, pressure grew for him to step down. Peter Baker led the charge, writing numerous damning columns. When he finally stepped down, Baker wasn't satisfied: he wrote another scathing piece, gratuitously kicking the man, just b/c he could. I have zero faith in anything he writes.

C'mon Senators! Put away your cashboxes for a moment and impeach and convict RFK, Jr., as a danger to the country.

I checked to see if 107M was the non-white population, thinking he'd envision every non-white person as expendable. But that only accounts for 86M. So I guess Bovino figures it'd be good to rid the country of the entire non-white population, and make up the rest of the numbers with Democrats.

I agree; it's a great store. One just came to my town, and I (and everyone here) is thrilled. I love the cheerful people who work there. It just surprises me they're keeping those salad mixes on the shelves.

So says the guy who's dumber than a box of rocks.

Eeeek. So much for their typically well-earned reputation for care & concern. My son worked there for a yr, and found cookies with high fructose corn syrup in them (he was super against this from culinary school), told his supervisor and they took them off the shelves of the whole chain nationwide.

I saw bagged salad at Trader Joe's yesterday. Wonder about that.....

Listen to this putz bragging about Drill Baby Drill & fracking, like he's some kind of hero. It's so hard to contain my rage as the climate is responding in ways that harm so many & the rest of the world is moving forward w/solar & wind, leaving the US to drink poisoned water & fight wars for oil.

They're louder; they're more obnoxious; they're crueler; they're more racist. But they're NOT the majority. It's up to us to vote, vote, vote til it's not close enough to steal. We have to set aside our particular single issues, shibboleths, vanity, and vote for OUR LIVES.

Well, we got SCOTUS judges that further destroyed real people. We got a GOP majority gov't-wide, that has done everything in their power to stomp on regular people--housing, food, medical care, education, employment, voting, SS. We can't repair the system w/out replacing the people making it worse.
