Opinion: D&D dipping into other franchises works better than Magic doing it because a D&D game is self-contained. The structure of the game encourages you to create a world to tell specific stories in. It works in a way including Aerith and Aang in your Picard EDH deck doesn't.

I was watching the trailer for Children of Blood and Bone (which looks great btw) and my mind kept saying "This looks A LOT like Black Panther!" and in more than just a "they are both afrofantasy" way. Turns out, the have the same production designer, Hannah Beachler! Which explains a lot.

RE: last repost: I've been struggling to find a name for that aesthetic because I have been seeing it all over youtube thumbnails! And I hate it! Even thumbnails that are not using AI use the same look with what I assume is some very harshly boosted contrast.

I’m getting the lenses in my glasses replaced so I am just wandering around downtown Victoria half blind. If you see me and you think I am ignoring you, it is because everything over five feet from me is colourful blurs.

Ironically, there is a Amazon Soy Moratorium, so instead of turning rainforest into crop land, they are converting pasture land. So beef producers in Brazil are converting rainforest into pasture land 🙃 TLDR: Blame Brazil.

Today’s travel fun: flew from Saskatoon to Calgary and disembarked. An hour later I boarded the exact same plane and sat in the exact same seat for the flight to Victoria 😂
