Man the Dems couldn't find a single person who isn't a weird narcissist with a taste for antisemitism to run in Michigan? This guy is gonna make Cori Bush look normal.

No, taking on outside spending with your New York consultants that backed an accused serial rapist wehraboo is not like overcoming Jim Crow. You don’t need to colonize that. x.com/alex_roarty/...

Jay Clayton also has no intelligence and is also a Trump loyalist who has thrown at the rule of law to do toady things at SDNY.

Kyle Griffin

NEW via MS NOW: More than two days after the Senate confirmed Jay Clayton to serve as director of national intelligence, Clayton has not taken the oath of office. Instead, Trump loyalist Bill Pulte, who no experience in intelligence, remains in one of the most powerful intelligence positions.

Came in on a Friday (normally I get to WFH and catch up on ELNs) to run a screen that apparently became urgent at 8pm last night. Only to find my stash of enzyme is missing from the -80C. Might commit a homicide today 🤗🤗🤗

Lady has way better earning potential on the MAGa grifter circuit than she's ever had in the WNBA. Move makes total sense.

Denny Carter

Hold on. You’re telling me Sophie Cunningham has averaged 8 points per game over her WNBA career, and never more than 12.6 points per game?? She’s not even good???

Guys, the immunology startup company names are getting a little ridiculous don't we think? Am I crank for preferring the days when we the guys who started the company ego-named it after themselves?

Not super surprised by this. Alphafold is at a deadend. It is sometimes able to replicate a crystal structure if you handhold it enough But it's not a physics model so it's never been able to predict the conformational dynamics that are important to understanding realworld solution phase structure

Engadget

DeepMind's award-winning AlphaFold team is no more.

It's really fascinating how these guys get to just do fraud facilitated by a fawning, moronic media.

“What we need to explain to the world: Number one, we are close to creating a genie that can grant any wish. Number two, we are going to make sure that our first wishes broadly benefit humanity” - Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI — This is definitely the opposite of Anthropic’s AI kills all jobs pitch.

Except for a few purely elective/aesthetic drugs where there are multiple competing molecules for the same pathway like GLP-1s (for non-diabetics) and dick pills, there's really no advantage to advertising. You don't get a lot of extra sales and the cost of advertising usually ends up being a wash.

Stephanie

Every time we watch a baseball game we see more and more pharma ads… apparently it’s not just my imagination “Since Trump’s September memorandum, drugmakers have spent $5.2 billion on TV ads. That’s 8% more than the same period the year prior.”

"Scaling slower than anticipated" is an absolutely hilarious description for two products that are vaporware that have been in "development" for a decade with no viable path to a commercial business in the next decade.

Carl Quintanilla

DB: ".. it’s fairly clear Robotaxi and especially Optimus (supply chain) are scaling slower than anticipated which is disappointing .. we’re entering a tricky period of time where $TSLA may not demonstrate any significant milestones until late in the year while cash burn increases materially .."
