Grants studying how socioeconomic factors contribute to cognitive health & Alzheimer’s disease have been cancelled prematurely. Incomplete science wastes taxpayer funding. And then there is the dismissal of “surveys and interviews” as legitimate methods. So much for patient-reported outcomes.

Had a gardening tragedy. 2 cucumber plants: 1 planted 2 weeks after the other. The newer plant is producing okay-ish. The older plant is gorgeous—huge green leaves, tons of flowers, but mysteriously no cukes. Turns out, all the flowers were male. Had to pull the whole thing up & start over 😭

Another study demonstrating viral infection as a risk factor for cancer. HPV, HIV, EBV, Hep-B, Hep-C, and now SARS-CoV-2 infections. Clearly this illustrates the need for increased research for preventing viral infections and severe disease.
