To be a Republican you must be a good liar. "Good liar" doesn't mean telling plausible lies. It means persisting in the lie no matter what, even after everyone else knows it's a lie.

I hit Republican voters hard. But that reflects hope that enough of them (it needn't be many) can be brought back in touch with reality to save American democracy.
