It is Saanich that I'm worried about.

I live in the Americas. North America. I can walk up the hill in my neighbourhood with an Iranian-Canadian friend and look at the mountains in the USA. I'm not giving up on any region of our planet, it is all connected. If you give up one piece at a time, you end up abandoning the whole future.

Trump has strengthened the Iranian hard liners, and Carney endorsed this.

That said, @avilewis.ca should be far stronger and clearer on the need for Canada to immediately increase support for Ukraine's fight against fascism. This is an immediate need that everyone should be supporting, regardless of your views on the level of military spending likely needed long term.

You are right about lots of things Charlie, but there is a significant element of truth to this. Carney is supporting Trump's criminal war and thereby helping Putin kill civilians in Ukraine. Carney is not pivoting hard to Europe on military cooperation. Vision? www.thestar.com/politics/fed...

Very cool that this is how our prime minister has been responding to a premier that is increasingly privatizing healthcare (just did another announcement to that effect, even!) and attacking trans youth rights. Really cool, really great!!

Solar, wind and batteries now provide much lower cost energy than gas extracted via fracking. Less expensive, much better for climate, and no radioactive wastewater bubbling to the surface. Just sayin. #bcpoli
