Does Dylan count as a band? If so, then boomer here with obvious answer: Bringing it all back home, Highway 61 Revisited, Blonde on Blonde.

As I think about this, the more offended I get that Visscher would write a paper that is implicitly very critical of me while casually admitting that he has never read a relevant word I have written. Proud of his ignorance. He ought to be embarrassed.

Here is a link to the article I am blogging about. Let me know if you can't get through the firewall and I will send you a pdf.

Very pleased to have played a small role in this amazing study, with some distant Scarr-Rowe vibes.

I am convinced that inequality writ large is the reason for the permavibe-cession. I have plenty of money and a very nice life. Still, it stings to have my nose rubbed so constantly in the excesses of the super-wealthy. Boarding zone 4 is fine, but I hate watching the fat cats in zone 1.

My usual example when talking about the different challenges of animal and human work is, "milk production in cows." Gas production is a livelier one. (Semi) seriously, I think it is an example where animal work might be interesting but human fartWAS would fail. Diet variation would overwhelm it.

Is @nathancofnas.bsky.social not him, or does he not check the account?

I'm not on Twitter anymore so I can't tell him directly-- I assume he isn't here? Feel free to send him a link; Chapter 9 of my book would be even better, though it doesn't address the "ethical principle" thing directly. I would sincerely like to hear his counter-arguments.

Here is the tl;dr. I stand by the whole business. I obviously didn't mean what Cofnas and others insist that I meant. /end
