I know I’m late to the party on the @remapradio.bsky.social World Cup episode, but @robzacny.bsky.social and @gameonysus.bsky.social unveiling that culture is ultimately cringe and to perhaps revel in it is some top-tier stuff.

I don't know who else to attribute thanks and props but the candidates themselves in my ignorance, but they keep satisfying me, which says something. They are basically never on lists of weak Dems that get Bluesky ire.
Alex Ip 葉清霖One thing that I wish I heard more people discuss: how did Georgia Democrats find two outsider candidates to flip Senate seats in the same cycle, who have remained broadly popular among all wings of the party without any scandals, but other states couldn't replicate the magic formula?
It doesn't have to be this way. Firing can be legislated to be more ethical, thereby incentivizing companies to be mindful in hiring. Reduce the boom and bust cycles and the heartbreak, turmoil.
Jason SchreierI want to re-emphasize one part of this Xbox story: Half of the 3,200 cuts are happening today and half are happening in the next 12 months. In other words, even people who survived today's layoffs will have to spend the coming year wondering if they're going to be next.
Fascinating. We laud our representative democracy, but perhaps we are eclipsed by other forms in many ways.
Carl T. BergstromI've argued that LLMs facilitate man-in-the-middle attacks on representative democracy, whereby malefactors flood legislators with text and voicemails, preventing them from ascertaining what their actual constituents want and need. The US is uniquely vulnerable because face-to-face is impossible.
"Atlanta, one of this year's "eight cities to watch," scored 33 out of 100 points, ranking roughly 39th among large cities with a population of at least 300,000 people. Senoia, Pine Mountain, Hapeville, St. Simons and Hiram earned the top scores in Georgia." #atl www.axios.com/local/atlant...
It's hard to say why, but this still is very cool.

Great piece about the unhoused folks proximate to the #worldcup in #atl. I so appreciate Sean's work. Flowers seem innocuous but they represent yet another group rejecting the responsibility for a problem much bigger than them. This needs city leadership, which seems lackluster.

Atlanta Community Press CollectiveOne of Atlanta’s most important independent newsrooms is shutting down. The Atlanta Civic Circle is closing due to a lack of funding. This is a critical problem for the city, and we need our readers to act on it. Now is the time to support local news outlets like ACPC.
