So little of our forests are left, urgent systems-change is needed. We must end raw log exports and move toward value-added products. We need to stop logging old growth and deliver selective logging, commercial thinning & longer stand rotations. This is how we save our forests and this industry.

Forestry workers deserve stable jobs, right here in BC. We pushed the BC NDP to deliver a report that revealed how urgent it is to fix its destructive forestry plan that has left our forests decimated & this industry so vulnerable that one billionaire can kill it. There has been little action.

The richest man in BC just killed 300 jobs with Canfor’s mill closure. Since buying Canfor, BC billionaire Jim Pattison has built more forestry in Trump’s US than in his own province. Billionaires don’t have our back — and the BC NDP won’t stop the bleeding in our forestry industry.
