Also human rights shouldn't be - and indeed aren't - contingent on how mean or polite a person is. The nastiest, most insufferable, ass hat on the planet still gets human rights, and those rights should be fought for and defended by everyone.

3. We don't need as many servers, not as many racks, not as many massive data centers. No need to build more, and more, and more. We have more than enough capacity today, we don't need to build more. We just need to use what we have better.

2. I am actively incentivised to use my infrastructure more efficiently. I have to ensure workloads are correctly and efficiently placed to fully make use of the physical resources, because I can't rely on customers picking up my tab for unused node capacity.

This business model is beneficial for everyone: 1. Customers don't have to worry about server management, and are not at risk of overpaying for unused server capacity.

I'm trying to combat this. That's why I built @keisson.com: the serverless Kubernetes platform. I'm throwing out the old virtual machine charging model: I don't charge per server. Instead, I charge per Pod, which is the most atomic unit within a Kubernetes cluster.
