Because even if he can't find the words sometimes to tell him how much he loves and cares for him, cooking Soap's favorite meal or dessert always gets the point across, and it's better when Soap, knowing how much cooking means to Ghost, decides to join him so they can cook together.

Bought (even more) fancy cooking knives. By the time he was finally able to serve again, he could cook a 5 course meal for the whole base without blinking an eye. So it's no wonder once he gets together with Soap, that he cooks for him like there's no tomorrow.

Even the things he doens't end up liking as much he gains a deep appreciation off. And this of course transforms in him wanting to learn how to cook outside of the survival shit he learned in the military. He went to baking and cooking classes, bought as many recipe books as he could+

To try and break out from "his cycle of misery" (Ghost's words not his therapist's), he says fuck it and spends the money he'd been saving up from the army into buying all kinds of food. And it's all down hill from there. There's a child-like wonder in him with every new food he tries.

The funniest part is that Soap is not even short everybody else is just taller than him 😂Best friend? Tall. Father figure? Tall. Boyfriend? Fucking industrial fridge of a man.
