Short post: I need to attend a film festival soon or I will perish! Long post: I've been watching a show on tv where filmmakers travel the world and make short films and it's making me yearn for a curated screening of films about things I've never heard of by people I've never heard of.

I wonder what it feels like to be normal about media. Wish I knew what that was like.

True true true. The thinking that goes into both is slightly different, even though the physical aspect of making art is the same 🤔

I dunno, I think I am just surrounded by people who are very passionate about making original stuff atm, and it's great to see, I love seeing them so enthusiastic and motivated! And then I wonder why I only ever experience that same thing when I'm making fanworks. I've never figured it out 🤔

Every day when working on a huge self-inflicted fanwork project I think to myself 'imagine what I could make if I put all this energy into my own IP' but then I remember that I love making fanworks more than I love my own IP haha. Make the things that bring you joy, etc etc.

I just need to cheer about hitting the half way mark of my fun little dtb illo project. It is going well 💪🎉

This all came about bc I spent a month using Wayback Machine to see if there were any existing shot analyses circa 2007-09, but couldn't find anything substantial. I figured I could've written one up myself in the time I had spent searching, so I did just that 🤡

Context for those who haven't been in the dtb mines: Season 1 canon: they are human siblings who are freaky about each other. Season 2 canon: they are gods who are both themselves and each other and their parents and their children all at the same time and they are freaky about it.

Pai wishes to be her dream gender self but bc the gate is a little bitch, it creates a whole separate person instead, but her dream gender self is just a copy of her so he also has a dream gender self, which is her, so they are stuck wanting to be (with) each other 5eva.
